TRAINING ON FUNDAMENTAL OF ASME BPV CODE SEC VIII RULES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PRESSURE VESSEL

On 24th & 25th February, Technical Services Engineers from the Engineering and Quality Department participated in a specialized training on ASME BPV Code, Section VIII, focusing on the construction and design of pressure vessels. This program provided in-depth knowledge on the essential requirements for material selection, design calculations, and compliance with industry standards to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The training covered wall thickness calculations, material properties, and operating conditions like pressure and temperature. Participants gained clarity on Section VIII Divisions 1 and 2, ensuring the correct application of standards. Additionally, they explored welding techniques and inspection processes to enhance fabrication quality and structural integrity.

A key focus was pressure testing and compliance measures, ensuring vessels meet strict safety standards. By mastering ASME BPV Code rules, participants can strengthen their organizations’ commitment to quality, reliability, and operational excellence in pressure vessel projects.

This initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, by empowering engineers with specialized skills, fostering innovation, and promoting workplace safety. Through continuous learning and professional development, industries can enhance productivity while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
