FIBRE & FRUIT WEEK: Nourish to Flourish!

In support of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, the HSE Department is launching Fibre & Fruit Week a week-long campaign to promote better health through fruits and fibre.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on potatoes! Potatoes are naturally low in fat and packed with powerful health benefits they are high in fibre, support healthy digestion, help regulate blood pressure, boost immunity and provide lasting energy. They are also rich in vitamin C, help stabilize blood sugar, boost brain function and contain antioxidants, which improve skin health, support heart health, and promote overall wellness. Versatile and filling, potatoes are perfect boiled, baked, mashed or cooked into hearty meals.

Each day will feature simple tips, fun facts and mini challenges to encourage everyone to enjoy more potatoes and stay healthy.
