FIBRE & FRUIT WEEK: Nourish to Flourish!
FIBRE & FRUIT WEEK: Nourish to Flourish!
Organized by the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Department
In support of SDG 3: Good Health and Well Being, the HSE Department is launching Fibre & Fruit Week a week long campaign to promote better health through fruits and fibre.
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on carrots! Carrots are rich in fibre and packed with amazing health benefits they help improve vision, promote healthy skin, slow down aging and help prevent cancer. They are also a great source of vitamin A, beta-carotene, and antioxidants that support heart health, boost immunity and promote overall well-being. Naturally sweet and crunchy, carrots are perfect eaten raw, steamed or added into soups, salads and juices.
Each day will feature simple tips, fun facts and mini challenges to encourage everyone to enjoy more carrots and stay healthy.
Let’s enjoy the week and boost our well being one carrot at a time!
