TECHNFOFIT ADS : INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FOREST 2024
The United Nations General Assembly designated 21 March as the International Day of Forests (IDF). This annual observance aims to celebrate and promote awareness of the vital role played by forests of all kinds. Each year, nations are urged to engage in various activities at local, national, and global levels to highlight the significance of forests and trees on this day.
This year, the International Day of Forests 2024 is outlined under the theme “Forests and Innovation – New solutions for a better world”. The theme amplifies how technology and innovation is crucial to safeguard forest ecosystems.
TECHNOFIT supports all initiatives to protect, restore and promote terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forest, combat desertification and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss in as guided by SDG No. 15 – Life on Land. Pushing forward the importance of forestry can be in fact one of the actions to combat climate change and its impact too, as outlined in SDG No. 13 – Climate Action.
