In support of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, the HSE Department is launching Fibre & Fruit Week — a week-long campaign to promote better health through fruits and fibre.
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on barley! Barley is high in fibre and packed with essential vitamins and minerals. It helps reduce the risk of gallstones, preserves skin elasticity, prevents osteoporosis, and strengthens the immune system. Barley is versatile and wholesome — perfect in soups, salads, or brewed into a refreshing barley drink.
Each day will feature simple tips, fun facts, and mini challenges to encourage everyone to enjoy more barley and stay healthy.
