FIBRE & FRUIT WEEK: Nourish to Flourish!

In support of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, the HSE Department is launching Fibre & Fruit Week — a week-long campaign to promote better health through fruits and fibre.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on cucumbers! Cucumbers are low in calories but packed with health benefits — they help improve heart health, boost immunity, lower the risk of diabetes, and contain anti-cancer properties. They also keep you hydrated, promote healthy digestion, support weight management, improve skin health, and reduce inflammation. Naturally crisp and refreshing, cucumbers are perfect in salads, sandwiches, or simply enjoyed as a cooling snack.

Each day will feature simple tips, fun facts, and mini challenges to encourage everyone to enjoy more cucumbers and stay healthy.
