COVID-19 PREVENTION PROCEDURE

GENERAL

1. Stop all non-essential activities as defined by Top Management.
2. Anyone who meets one of the following criteria should not come to office or site:
• Has a high body temperature (more than 37.5°C)
• Persistent cough
• Health High risk group (age > 60 years, underlying critical health condition and pregnant)
• Is living with someone in self-isolation
• Having difficulty in breathing
3. Mandatory daily body temperature and respiratory symptom checks.
4. To wear Personal Protective Equipment (e.g Face Mask).
5. Apply personal and work area hygiene.
6. Apply the Interacting, Gathering and Communicating etiquette.
7. Physical distancing practice.
8. Staff and worker’s movement control.
9. MTE Deliveries.
10. Employee Travelling History.
11. Education & Awareness.
12. Foreign worker’s health status.
13. Comply with disinfectant Guideline (Refer MOH Annex 36).

BODY TEMPERATURE CHECK & RESPIRATORY SYMPTOM

1. All staff, site workers and all outsiders shall go through the body temperature and respiratory symptom check such as:

 Tiredness.

 Dry cough.

 Nasal congestion.

 Runny nose.

 Sore throat.

2. The DAILY monitoring is to be done before entering the office and site by the appointed personnel.
3. If the body temperature is above 37.5°C and severe respiratory symptom detected the person is not allowed to enter the office & site. The person considered unfit for work for that day.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

1. All staff, site workers and all outsiders shall wear face mask at all time when deem necessary at the open areas and when interacting with human.
2. Hand gloves to be worn by site workers to avoid contact direct with skin.
3. PPE shall be made available by the respective superior and to be acquired to Warehouse if not available.
4. PPE is one time use only and PPE shall be disposed to avoid reused.

PERSONAL & WORK AREA HYGIENE

1. Always maintain good personal hygiene such as frequent hand washing with soap and water or hand sanitizer
2. Regular disinfection at work area and equipment based on Ministry of Health Malaysia disinfection procedure as defined by Top Management.
3. No handshaking policy
4. Enforce hand sanitization at the work entrance and provide easy access to frequent hand washing for employees.
5. Common areas such as lobby, meeting room, surau, toilet, rest area and common waste area shall be sanitized regularly as defined by committee.

INTERACTING, GATHERING AND COMMUNICATING

1. Consider alternate communication methods such as virtual meetings, group chats etc.
2. Deferring large meetings or events.
3. All site Personnel and workers are regularly briefed and informed on the risk of exposing to COVID-19, including proper hygiene methods to ensure workers are not exposed to the risk of infection.
4. Regular reminders in tool box talk are encouraged as part of awareness in daily operation.
5. To place signage, physical distance markings & hand wash culture around the office and site especially at queuing line or gathering area
6. Toolbox will be held in a wide area to ensure physical distancing. Workers will be briefed daily before start working.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

1. Non-essential physical work that requires close contact between workers should not be carried out.
2. Plan all other work to minimize contact between workers especially in an enclose space such as boiler.
3. Toolbox talk to be conducted at wide open area to enable workers to keep the required physical distance of 1 meters.
4. Regularly clean the inside crane cabin, lorry and forklift if uses by different operators.
5. Staff encourage to telework when feasible in between departments.
6. Limit in-person meetings and if unavoidable, meeting should be short.
7. Avoid gathering in work area such as pantry and photocopier area.
8. Work station at the office shall not be less than 1 meter’s distance between employees unless divider is available to separate them efficiently.
9. Break time shall be in alternate hours to prevent massive crowd at dining or resting area.
10. Surau or Jemaah crowd shall be at minimum and physical distancing shall be implemented.

STAFF, WORKERS MOVEMENT AND TRANSPORTATION

1. Staff and site workers are not allowed to enter or exit the work area during business hours without approval from the Head of department or Region Manager.
2. Approval letter is required by determining the location destined and reasons.
3. Company vehicle shall be sanitized every time after used.
4. Comply with 2-person maximum for one car (personal) and registered capacity based on passenger rating on the company’s vehicle (van for workers).
5. Interstate travelling to PKPB / PKPD district is not allowed. If cross country is required, approval letter from the company is required.
6. Transportation for workers shall be sanitized every time after used.

MTE DELIVERIES

1. All delivery IN and OUT must have an approval from Warehouse or the respective superior.
2. Minimize the number of workers attending to delivery.
3. Truck driver to remain in vehicles as much as possible and use contact-less methods such as mobile phones to communicate with others.
4. PPE and physical distancing is required when loading and unloading activity.
5. Health caution is required when document signing activity on invoices, DO and etc.

EMPLOYEE TRAVELLING HISTORY

1. Employees shall inform their immediate superior of their travel history.
2. Monitor health status and seek medical attention if COVID-19 symptoms develop such as fever, cough etc. Inform the region HSE have been visited
3. Employees whose nature job requires mandatory presence at workplace and exposed to public more than 1 location e.g. client premises, suppliers, multiple work site, family houses, private event etc. in same district or off district shall not return to the office unless has passed the RTK Antigen test. Only personnel with negative result will be allowed entry to the office. Where RTK Antigen test is not conducted employees shall complete 10 days self-isolate or quarantine working from home before returning to the office.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURE

a) The symptomatic worker should be sent to the hospital for further examination. ERT should isolate the symptomatic worker in a special setting. Gather information on the employee’s situation and inform the employer.
b) In the event where workers confirmed of Covid 19 and happened to be in the work place, refer as follows;
 HOD and Area/Region Managers shall stop the work area temporarily.
 Notification to Top Management, HR and HSE is required.
 Study the trailing activity history 14 days backwards.
 Swab Test on the workers involved in the same group (if necessary).
 Perform work area sanitation as per on Ministry of Health Malaysia disinfection procedure.
c) The case shall be recorded and closely follow up by HR, Region and Site administrator with the support of HSE until the case is closed.
d) The ERT members involved in the treatment of symptomatic workers must comply with established procedures and wear PPEs (facemask, medical gowns and gloves).
e) Employer need to cooperate with MOH to identify their employee’s close contact if asked to do so.

EDUCATION & AWARENESS

Posters and article will be handed to the staffs and workers. Posters will be placed at yard office, site office and bulletin board for staff and workers viewed. Further update will be posted for awareness.

FOREIGN WORKERS HEALTH STATUS

All foreign workers are mandatory to undergo for swab test at appointed hospital.
